YOUNG ICCA - CEPANI40 Skills Training Workshop on “Cross-examination in international arbitration”
The event will bring together 40-45 young practitioners for a one-day skills training workshop dealing with the issue of cross-examination in international arbitration.
The participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. A waiting list will also be drawn up, to make up for possible last-minute cancellations.
In advance of the event, the selected participants will be provided with the mock case materials outlining the facts of the case. During the event, the participants will have the opportunity to conduct cross-examination under the supervision of arbitral tribunals, the members of which will provide tips and feedback on the participants’ performance at the end of each hearing session.
The event will start with introductory remarks and a panel on Cross-Examination of witnesses.
The voluntary participants will then be divided in teams in order to prepare the cross-examination. The groups will be kindly coached by the speakers and organizers.
After the lunch break, the mock hearing sessions will take place, during which the participants will be able to test and improve their cross-examination skills.
The event will be closed by a cocktail reception.
More details will follow shortly.
