Thierry Garby : During his carrier as an attorney at the Paris bar, dealing mainly with international litigation and arbitration, Thierry studied, practiced and started teaching negotiation. He became a mediator in 1998. In 2010, he left the legal profession to become a full time mediator and trainer.
He is the founder of the World Forum of Mediation Centres, which brings together mediators and managers of mediation centres from around the world every 9 months.
He is the author of several books on conflict management, negotiation and mediation.
He trains mediators all around the world through Bars and Law Societies, Universities, International Organisations, Chambers of commerce, mediation institutions etc.
He is a mediator with the World Bank Group and the United Nations.
Ad J. Kil (1947) is Emeritus Professor of Research Didactics for Professionals and Director of Executive PhD programs, Nyenrode Business Universiteit, The Netherlands and Chendu (China), Professor of Research at Nordic International Management Institute, China and Visiting Professor Business Research at Kingston University London, School of Business and Law.
He is former Professor of HRD at Nottingham Law School (UK), former Director of Study of a Master in Conflict management, University Maastricht Law School and former Dean of the International Institute Financial Industry, Talent & Pro International.
He was senior trainer at the Netherlands Bar Association (NOvA), where he designed the Advocacy Skills Program, as well as Radboud University Law School.
Prof. dr. Ad Kil holds a MA in Social Pedagogic, a BA in Psychology, a PGDip P&O, a PGDip CE (Corporate Education), a MA Managing Human Resources, a MBA Legal Practice, a MSc Human Resource Development and a PhD in Management Science and Business Administration. His PhD research was on Competences of managing partners of law firms.

Dr. Ulrich Hagel studied Law and Business Administration at the University of Bayreuth. After having worked as an Attorney at Law in Stuttgart, he joined Bombardier Transportation in 1998. As Head of Claim Governance, Litigation & Procurement Support he is working conceptually on conflict management processes and tools but also operationally leading complex disputes in negotiations, ADR-processes, arbitration and litigation. Since 2010 he is also a Partner at KonsensKanzlei in Berlin.
Dr. Hagel has published several articles on Conflict Management, Contract Management and Compliance. He is co-editor of the German Arbitration Journal (SchiedsVZ), founding member and member of the Board of the Round Table Mediation and Conflict Management of the German Industry (RTMKM) and Chair of the German Local Organisation Committee of the Global Pound Conference. He is also a member of several advisory boards (German Arbitration Institute DIS, Center on the Legal Profession at Bucerius Law School and the Online-Magazines AnwaltSpiegel and Dispute Resolution). Since 2014 he is Academic Director of the MBA-Program “International Commercial & Contract Management” at the Dresden International University.
