On 14 December 2018, the Rules on the Efficient Conduct of Proceedings in International Arbitration, better known as the “Prague Rules”, were officially launched. Presented as a more civil law oriented set of rules than the well-known IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration, the Prague Rules aim at providing arbitration users with an alternative, which its drafters present as a “more streamlined procedure actually driven by the tribunal”.

CEPANI is pleased to host a lunch-debate during which Dr. Christoph Liebscher, a member of the Working Group which drafted the Prague Rules, will present their main features and will debate with Pascal Hollander who has arbitrated many disputes by applying, of taking guidance in, the IBA Rules. They will engage in what promises to be thought-provoking discussions.
