Professional experience:

Honorary Secretary General ICC Belgium.  Mathieu Maes has been involved in international trade for years before taking the lead of the Belgian committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He dedicates his efforts to supporting companies in different fields of cross-border trade and investment like international contracts, trade compliance, trade finance, regulatory compliance and sustainability.

Arbitration experience:

As the Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce in Belgium (ICC Belgium), Mathieu is committed to the promotion of institutional arbitration and lead the organization of miscellaneous seminars for practitioners and initiatives to promote arbitration to users. He is responsible for the relation between the ICC Court of Arbitration and Belgium.
